Rafaela is a Portuguese artist based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK. She is a character artist, but also does traditional, graphite work. She recently became a graduate of a BA(Hons) in Animation and Games Art.

Rafaela has always created art and played video games, so it felt natural to combine both and make a career out of it. Drawing her favourite video game characters became her favourite pastime during COVID-19 lockdown.

​

Although her artistic journey started as a traditional artist, she's been developing her digital and technical skills in Procreate, ZBrush, Blender and Adobe Photoshop. She also has experience with Maya's tool XGen, Marvelous Designer, Substance 3D Painter and Unreal Engine.

​

In her free time she likes to play games, draw, take care of her many plants, and learn new languages - she is currently learning Italian.
